Assessment for Nursing Potential (ANP)

The ANP is a combination of three tests designed to identify students with the potential to succeed in the upper level of the nursing program. It covers the following tests: Aptitude Test is designed to measure fundamental intellectual abilities or the “innate-based” learned abilities. It consists of the following subtests:
  • Abstract Reasoning
  • Verbal Reasoning
  • Quantitative Reasoning
Achievement Test measures proficiency in general education courses taken in the lower division level i.e., the first two years of the nursing program. These courses include:
  • General Psychology
  • Algebra
  • Physical Science
  • Life Science
  • Communication Skills
. Quality Nursing Scale measures an individual’s likelihood of possessing a wide array of personal traits that are desirable for quality nursing care. It consists of four subscales:
  • Caring
  • Compassion
  • Commitment
  • Connectedness
